Equine Facilities

At the Meadows Veterinary Centre we have a safe under cover crush and treatment area to enable procedures such as dentistry, x-rays and ultrasound scanning to be done on site. The crush opens on all sides so no trying to fit through a narrow opening! Clients who elect to bring their horses to the Centre will save money in mileage charges as this saves much valuable time for the vets.

For surgery, frozen or chilled artificial insemination services and horses that require ongoing treatment, clients take their horses to our property near Prospect Hill. At our property we can provide large stables and very large yards with shelter sheds specially designed for mares and foals with on site supervision and a very safe crush and treatment area. For long distance clients some paddocking is also available by arrangement. Here we also have our frozen semen storage.

For horses staying at the property we encourage clients to provide their horse’s feed to ensure continuity of feeding but feed can be provided on request.
