Disease Investigations

Meadows Veterinary Centre works closely with PIRSA to help monitor and investigate disease outbreaks or unusual illnesses in livestock. 

Ensuring thorough investigation and quick identification of diseases allows farmers to prevent ongoing stock losses and reduces the risk of disease spread. 

Our veterinarians are able to assess ill animals, take samples for testing, provide appropriate treatments and perform post-mortems if required. They can also facilitate PIRSA involvement when appropriate, which can on occasions provide subsidised testing for disease surveillance.
