Purchasing a new horse is a big decision and going into a sale it is important to have as much information as possible. Meadows Veterinary Centre is able to provide pre-purchase examinations for prospective purchasers on property. We follow the Equine Veterinarians of Australia guidelines when performing prepurchase assessments.
Pre-purchase examinations include full physical assessment of the horse at rest, lameness exam, flexion tests and hoof assessment. If needed we can also provide extended exams assessing the horse after exercise.
If required we can also arrange blood tests, x-rays and reproductive tract assessments.
